Fair Use is an issue that affects all teachers as they use multimedia sources in their classrooms. Teachers need to make sure that they know the terms of fair use so that they are able to properly cite information. They also need to make sure that their students are probably citing information that they use in projects or for class lessons. Here is a paper that i wrote on fair use and my thoughts. After there is also a reflection that I wrote after reading a learning about others thoughts on fair use.
here are my final thoughts on fair use:Reading everyone else's comments made me realize we need to take media use into close consideration every time it is used. We need to be able to watch what our students are using and if they are using and citing it when necessary.I believe that we as teachers would be able to increase our students knowledge of fair use if we as teacher's set an example. If we begin to cite when needed properly our students will be able to learn by example. I also believe that we can do things like correcting them and making sure that they know and are aware of what they are doing.
